Trinity College Dublin has been ranked 21st in the world  in the just published Times Higher Education top list of 25  leading world universities over the age of 400.

Trinity Provost Dr Patrick Prendergast says: “We have always been immensely proud of Trinity’s historical legacy. Our mission in delivering excellence in teaching and scholarship extends over 424 years since its foundation  and applies more so than ever  today.  This ranking is a testimony to our world-class record of research, innovation, and our commitment to the highest standards of teaching. It places the university at the forefront of higher education in Ireland and globally.”

It joins the universities of Oxford, Cambridge and Edinburgh among 25 other top listed universities drawn from 11 countries.
