Federal Stafford Loans

US students studying veterinary medicine at University College Dublin are eligible for Federal Stafford Loans for each of their academic years. Students usually take both subsidized and unsubsidized Stafford loans, which combine for US$ 20,500 per year.

Federal Grad PLUS Loans

Additional financing for US students studying at University College Dublin can be secured through the Federal Grad PLUS loan. Students can borrow up to the full cost of their education (including travel, books, living expenses etc.) with the Grad PLUS loan.

University College Dublin will provide full information and application instructions for the Federal Stafford and Grad PLUS Loans to students who are accepted into the veterinary school.

Federal Direct PLUS Loans

Additional financing for US students studying at NUIG, RCSI, TCD, UCC or UCD can be secured through the Federal Direct PLUS loan. Students can borrow up to the full cost of their education (including accommodation, travel, books, living expenses etc.) with the Grad PLUS or Parent PLUS loan. Graduate level students can apply for the Grad PLUS Loan, on their own signature (independent of their parents).

Parent PLUS Loans

Parents of undergraduate level students can avail of the Parent PLUS Loan on behalf of their son or daughter.
