Federal Stafford Loans
 US
students studying at NUIG, RCSI, TCD, UCC or UCD are eligible
for Federal Stafford Loans for each
of their academic years. Students
usually take both subsidized and unsubsidized
Stafford loans, which combine for
US$ 20,500 per year.
Federal Grad PLUS Loans
Additional financing for US students
studying at NUIG, RCSI, TCD, UCC or UCD can be secured
through the Federal Grad PLUS loan.
Students can borrow up to the full
cost of their education (including
travel, books, living expenses etc.)
with the Grad PLUS loan.
University of Limerick Status
University of Limerick currently is not eligible for US federal student loan funding as it is yet to graduate its first class. University of Limerick will graduate its inaugural medical school class in 2011,
after which it will apply to participate in the US government student loan program.
